In this book, an isolated office worker shaped by a traumatic childhood lacks both social skills and human connection. Unexpected friendships, however, open up her world in surprising ways.
Honeyman does an incredible job of taking you into Eleanor's head and showing the destruction caused by chronic loneliness. The story is soul-crushing at times, but also full of hope and humor--just as life is. I can't wait to see what Honeyman does next.
