Good company during the nor'easter!
Good company during the nor'easter!
My continued reading of The Wheel of Time series. This is book 5. I am constantly amazed a Jordan's world building and the way he totally transports you to some where else. Every time I read one of his books i get jealous that my own writing is no where near as good.
A little book therapy after a looooong day at work.
A fascinating history of the oil industry.
Book #4 of The Wheel of Time. It is difficult to write three great books for a trilogy, Jordan hit rare territory making it to four with this book. Such great chatacters and world building makes for an egaging series.
Book two of this history of WWII in the pacific. Just as great as the first - well researched and very readable.
Book 3 of the Wheel of Time. Another great entry in a great series
Excellent book! Historical writing at its best!
2nd book of The Wheel of Time. A great follow up to book 1...fast paced adventure story in a well developed fantasy world.
Decent look at the Salem Witch trials. The writing is at times overly complex and the author did not really offer any new conclusions about the reasons behind the hysteria.
Re-reading an old favorite...
Very interesting book about the campaign to take Atlanta. Very critical of Sherman's handling of the campaign; almost makes it seems as though Sherman bumbled his way to victory.
Decent thriller but I did not enjoy as much as Gone Girl. I found the main character unlikable and difficult to root for.
Good book about a great general and well-meaning president.
I realize I'm a bit late to the party on this book...but enjoying so far!
currently about halfway done with this very interesting and well-written bio of this monster of a hunan being.
