I started a book club with my coworkers! This is the first pick. 📚

If I had a nickel for every book I‘ve read about a bunch of sisters all named after flowers that have some extremely traumatic childhoods, I‘d definitely have at least two nickels.

I did enjoy this book for the most part but feel slightly let down by the (lack of) resolution of a certain plot point in the end.

Sometimes, when you‘ve got a lot of stuff going on IRL, you just want to read a hilarious romp about “rich people problems” and this book was absolutely perfect for that! All of the characters were likable, no matter how completely out of touch they were, and it helped distract me from some intense events.

For some reason I keep picking novels that include footnotes 😅 Thank goodness it‘s always on my kindle.

Emily and Wendell and some new friends get into all sorts of fairy predicaments in the Alps! I‘ll be counting down to the next entry in February.

Otherlands was like watching a series of Nature documentaries moving further and further back in time. I‘m very glad I read this on my Kindle so I could easily look up the strange creatures described, I do wish there were more pictures in the book though.

Omg I loved this book! Emily and Wendell are delightful and I need to know more about his “terrible cat”! Looking forward to starting the second book.
