Omg love at first sight😍 page one made me swoon and it was only uphill from there. Beautifully written, tragic, and gripping.

Honestly, this one surprised me but I loved it😍 Lots of intrigue, I was caught-up-in-it-could-not-even-be-pried-away-for-dinner. Highly recommend.
This was a whimsical and magical read for anyone whose first true love was a fictional character. A quirky and lovable heroine, a bit of romance and a bit of adventure, not to mention a beautiful affirmation of the love of the written word.
Not sure how I feel about this one...it was kind of The Alchemist meets The Good Body, but in a weirdly instructional sort of way. Except the sort of way where I am now, at the end, not too confident in the plan.
"'Never think that what you do doesn't matter,' Max said. 'No one is too insignificant to make a difference. Whenever you get the chance, choose life. But I don't need to tell you that...'"
Reread this book this morning (in one sitting, of course, as you do with any old friend) and was amazed at how different it was from the first time I read it in 5th grade. The thing that was so (surprisingly) emotional for me was watching Meg meet Calvin for the first time again. Of course I know what's going to happen; I've read them all. But watching the magic for the first time was...well, magical.
I honestly can't believe this is the first time I've ever picked this book up...I cannot recommend it enough. From a literary perspective as well as a reality check, Bradbury is, as always, right on point.
