No Time for Goodbye | Linwood Barclay

Excellent page turner. Some parts I guessed, others had me guessing right to the last page. I always like how Barclay is able to tie up all the loose ends in his books. This is the third of his that I've read, though it was his first novel. A quick, easy read.

This was such a wonderful book. A story that is basically about love and friendship, told by the grumpiest man in the world.... who I couldn't help but nodding in agreement with all the way through. Laugh out loud funny but tender and heartfelt at the same time.

A brilliant read about the adventures of a time traveller where history becomes fiction and fiction becomes history.

The slushy lovey-dovey parts put me right off.

Happy World Book Day!

These were probably my two favourites as a child. Made me fall in love with books.

I wanted to punch her all the way through.... she redeemed herself in the end. The conclusion to the story made it for me. I need to hunt out her first book now.

I know I really shouldn't have... but a trip to Barter Books led to a few new purchases. Going to try again with Shantaram now that I have my own copy I won't feel pressured to get it finished and back to the library in time.

Really enjoyed the latest in the DI Helen Grace series. Loved the setting, it being completely different from the earlier books. Can't wait for the next one which is out next month.

MrsWhitt7 Got this to read 😊 8y

Just started reading. Predictably page turning. It's gonna be a late one

About two thirds through and loving it. I keep holding my breath. It's very tense 🙈

TiredEyes Sounds interesting I'll have to find out more! 😊 8y
sooze76 I gave up in this first time. Am going to revisit soon 8y
aefc1981 The start is a little slow but I think it needed the depth of this. Once you get about halfway it's really gripping. I do find I'm reading it in chunks and then putting it down for a few days. My nerves can't take it. 🙈 8y
