Sooo Victorian October, or Victober, is coming up and many booktubers have been encouraging us (book lovers) to partake in the challenge if we like. Can anyone in the Litsy world recommend any great Victorian novels you've personally read (aside from the obvious list above)? If you want to know more about Victober, research it! #victober #challenge #october

jenniferw88 This will be good for Halloween 7y
Sace The Haunted House by Dickens or was he already on the list? 7y
Wuxia.Ravenclaw007 @RestlessFickleBookSlut No he can be included. I don't have a list just yet, I just provided 'Wuthering Heights ' as an example of Victorian literature...there's some much to choose from, even with nonfiction! 7y

Man...what can I say about this book? I certainly enjoyed it and it left me on the edge of my seat nervous for the main character! It's a very short read sure, but in the end it'll leave you hella confused, sad, and intrigued enough that one will almost be guaranteed to research further into this book afterwards.

Now I may not have read many of John Green's books, but I LOVE him as an educator! If you guys haven't never heard of 'Crash Course' on YouTube, I hiiiighly suggest y'all check it out right meow😺. Go to the playlist section and look for 'Literature ', we're already book lovers here, but you're guaranteed to fall more in agonizing love.😫😘📘

In the suburban downtown area where my beau lives, there are novel benches ALL over the place! Apparently they change the structures every summer to something else, so I'm fairly heartsick to know these literary benches will soon be gone. "Mha hart...mha sole!"?

Now I know that as the weather here in the Midwest is being to break, the Pumpkin Spice latte craze will be in full swing...yucky poo poo (no offense to those who love it)! However, if you're truly in want of a Starbucks drink to make your mouth happy while you read, try a Caramel Apple Spice! It's a "secret" menu drink that is uuuhhhmazing! #cozy #autumn #fall #austen

For the most part, I pride myself on no yearning to possess frivolous things such as expensive clothes (thrift queen!👸🏽), makeup, or technology. I'm a firm believer in paying for experiences not things...hundreds of experiences!!📘❤️

Some of my favorites...

*BOOK SERIES- Sherlock Holmes was my favorite when I was younger, but I don't really follow series much lately.
*MOVIE- Coraline (I actually like the movie better!!)
*Dessert- Creme Brûlée forever and always ?. *Color- lavender, green, and blue.
*Flower- Calla lily (the nose huggers)

Sace Oooo. I forgot about creme brulee. That's a good one too! 7y
RaimeyGallant I'm going to post one of my favs here: I still think The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series is up there on my favs list. :) 7y

We live in a world that is constantly rushing, never satisfied with the minuscule pleasures, and always striving for the next "best" thing to fill our lives with temporary happiness fixes. A few weeks i discovered the beauty of 'hygge', it's a Danish way of life and they are concluded to be the happiest people in the world. Let's learn a thing or two from our brothers and sisters overseas. #hygga #happy

Lreads I totally agree with you! 7y

I was excited for this read...I truly was! I thought it would be as thrilling as The Girl on the Train. But alas, this was THE most predictable novel I have ever read! Seems as though it was trying so hard to be like Girl on the Train/Gone Girl that it forgot to include an interesting plot twist. #boring

I definitely fell victim to this book for the beauty of its cover! The story was very intriguing and unique, as well as a little sad and violent. Overall, I would say it is worth a read but I'm not twiddling my thumbs eagerly waiting for the sequel to release. #bookcover #pretty

Sace I would fall for that cover too. 7y

So far, this one of Agatha Christie's simpler reads. Between reading heavier classic novels, I like to throw in a fun while I seek out my next classic. I particularly like how she referenced herself at some point in the story 😄. #murder #mystery
