Heart achingly good! Lyric prose at its finest. 10/10 ✨

Started out very slow, with a lot of dry humor that was too dry to really even be funny. There's were a few chapters that I thought were brilliant, and Earl made me laugh, but overall the book was a let down. I felt like I had wasted my time when I finished it. 2/10 - Earl was great, that is all ✨

Holly Black has managed to craft yet another surreal and gritty fantasy novel that reads like realistic fiction. The characters are captivating, the plot is creative, and the imagery is perfection. 10/10 ✨

Reading this book is like watching a movie painted by Rembrandt. There is so much rich attention to detail, you feel like you are right there, experiencing everything with Pen. Even though this book is so short, it took me ages to finish because I could live forever in every individual line. 10/10 ✨

🐜 I didn't think I would find a book that was like Grasshopper Jungle, but better, and yet I did. We Are the Ants is an amazing story of youth, love, aliens, and what's worth living for. I highly recommend it, especially to fans of Andrew Smith who are looking for more to read. 10/10 ✨
