Really pleased to have got a copy of the new C.R. May epic 'The Scathing.' No.3 in his 'King's Bane' series set in 6th Century Britain. The Romans are gone, the Anglo Saxons are here and the English have just arrived. An absolutely riveting series and from the first two chapters, 'The Scathing' is going to put my emotions through the ringer. Available now from Amazon.

Got a Greg Iles fest going on here.
I'd got the two Mississippi Bloods on order as soon as I was able. Then got hold of an advanced reader copy - which was the version I read. I'd already got the The Bone Tree US hardback, because it looks just fantastic. I then though I'd better get hold of a Natchez Burning US hardback, as I'd read the UK paperback originally. And it's signed! Result.

Managed to track down a U.S. signed first edition of Natchez Burning (previously having read the U.K. paperback) to complete the collection.
The Mississippi Blood bottom right, is an ARC. I couldn't wait, even though, as you can see, I had already pre-ordered the hardback.

And I paid him full whack as well. Didn't want a freebie.

Just finished. Read inside three days - got a week off work.
Superb piece of storytelling. Equally as good as Natchez Burning and The Bone Tree and my expectations.
