"The poor need our intellectual and social capital. Not our used blue jeans and giant cans of spaghettios."
My views on community, church, hosting were all challenged by this book. Very worth reading!

I love books set during WWII, and while this one wasn't my favorite, it was really good. It was a different perspective and very interesting. There was some sex, which takes a few points off, but still very good!
This book was a little disappointing for me. I'm not a fan of romance, and while this book tried to have romance, it never really took off. But there was a good bit of sex, and that's also a negative for me. I did like the history of the Eiffel Tower and the glimpse of life in Paris during the 1800's.
