A great read.
Another great summer read!
Another standout from Ruta Sepetys. I would read anything she writes!
Great story although the drug use of the main detective was distracting to the reader.
My favorite Gillian Flynn novel, this book navigates deep secrets that will unravel a family and splinter a rural town. A deeply troubled reporter learns secrets about her family and herself as she investigates the murder of two young girls in her hometown. Although the murderer is a little obvious, Flynn makes up for it with her hallmark psychological games.
The best of Lisa Gardner. She never disappoints with her thrillers that will leave you guessing until the end.
Beautiful prose & a compelling story, Salt to the Sea isn't just for YAs. It's a story of refugees that resonates just as much now as during WWII. Definitely a must read.
Trying to read with little boys in the house. #thestruggleisreal
"What you ask of me will damn us both," she whispers. "I know," he replies.
Gillian Flynn creates another diabolical mystery with Dark Places. The story of a destitute, troubled Kansas family takes a dark turn one fateful night when a killer targets their home. Told from multiple viewpoints, the story slowly comes together as one of the sole survivors of the massacre investigates the crime and her family's tangled history. Expect to be surprised, shocked, and sorry when the book is finished.
Perfect for a day full of ups and downs.
Re-reading with my 8-year-old makes for the best conversations. These books made my boy a reader and I'm forever grateful. ❤
Extra covers, snuggles, and a good mystery is the perfect way to spend Saturday night.
An engrossing mystery that doesn't just focus on the crime, but the human emotions and values connected to truth, loyalty, and love.
