Not at all what I thought it would be, but totally exceeded expectations.

My reading is beginning to inspire my #knitting. This book, you all. This book. You need it. #novemberiscoming #yarnandbooksfordays
Really compelling, but don't rely on a cliffhanger ending to make me want to read the next in a series. Your character and world should be enough. #endingsareeverything
"The boy's body reappears and thumps down hard into the floor. Nessa is relieved to see that it's not one of the really awful ones. There's nothing to churn the stomach here, other than a little blood and a set of tiny antlers growing out of the back of his head." This book. There aren't words. #thecallya #wtfamireading
I thought I left this book on the train and would have to wait a month to find out what happens. Also, I want to meet Sheila!!
I've seen this one likened to everything from Daughter of Smoke and Bone to a Hispanic-influenced Alice in Wonderland. As soon as I saw "bruja", I was in!!
I'm such a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers story, and this was a good one. The next in the series comes out in a week or so, but I have plenty of Sarah Maclean back catalogue (plus lots of other TBRs) to tide me over until then.
"Once upon a time, a girl was born.
It was rather uneventful.
Her parents were happy enough, the mother glad to be done carrying it, and the father glad to be done with the mystery of it all." -- Thus begins my lunch
I just left the world of monster-slaying bartenders, and I don't know where to go next. It's so hard to follow such a badass book. #whatdoireadnext #readerproblems
"Booze is universal, it brings people together, and a lot of time it results in the creation of more people." (This book makes knitting even more fun!)
I tend to only read books like this in the daylight hours while surrounded by flowers. But I'm not sure I'll be able to stop for the night.
I'm preparing myself for a serious series hangover. Finishing this one will be so painful.
I have the best coworker! I didn't get to go to BEA, but part of BEA came home to me! And do you see that??!! She even got a signature from Laini Taylor for me!!
Cute book. Fast read. Loved the two main characters' families.
“Sometimes you need things rather than just thoughts." --Patrick Ness I really like audiobooks, but they just aren't the same experience as actually holding a book in my hand and reading. Thank you, Mr. Ness, for summing it up so succinctly.
I liked the book, but I didn't love it. Several of the characters felt more like caricatures of actual people. And I wanted Katherine to be more biting, cynical, and sarcastic. A fun, quick read, but not what I'd hoped.
You know those books that just make you WTF??!??? An example of one well done and one not.
