I don't know about this book. It's making me feel very negative feelings toward some of the characters, making it not the most pleasant read. And yet, I can't stop listening, eager to know what will happen next. But also some Big Stuff just happened and I really don't know how there can possibly be FOUR MORE HOURS in the audio. I thought for sure it was almost over.

Ooof, this blurb just about knocked me over. And to think I almost gave up on this book because I started with the audio and the reader was an insufferable mansplainer. I'm so glad I switched to the text--I'm fully invested in finding out where this all goes now.

This book was perfection. I finished yesterday, and I miss it already. I couldn't bring myself to start another book right away today. I'm not ready to move on from this one quite yet. The audio production was superb. Next time I read it--and there will definitely be a next time--i think I'll buy the actual paper book and savor every page.

Say what you will about Hester, girlfriend knows a mansplainer when she meets one. (Had to transcribe the quote as soon as I heard it in the audiobook.)

It's been awhile since an audiobook has made me actively wish for red lights on my drive so I'll get to listen for a few more minutes. This is one of those books.

Not the greatest distraction from the current political climate, but it did make me think maybe we could use a cyborg and her band of rag tag friends in this country.

I started this book on my commute home tonight and I can already tell it's going to be a lovely read. The book shop sounds heavenly!

MarauderErin This is one of my all time favorite reads! 8y
RockyMtnAudrey @MarauderErin the line about how her job was to care for the books, and reading them is part of caring for them: I have major heart eyes. I can't wait to see what other wonderful things this book has in store. 8y

These Outlander books, man. I loved the first one, nearly threw the second across the room when I finished it, slogged through the third. And yet, I keep coming back, every couple of years, for more Jaime and Claire. The fourth has been better than the third but still feels about 3 times longer than it needs to be.
