“...Lyme Disease, it is actually the fastest growing infectious disease, and the most common vector-born illness in the United States.”

Scurvygirl Ugh, just had every known blood test done for tick borne diseases a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully, all negative. 7y
ReadingGrrl Lucky - I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with Lyme - the only positive is that at least I now know why I‘ve been feeling so crappy - it really explains so much 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Lyme is the scourge. I've been positive for several years, and been through a shit ton of treatment. It did make a big difference, but it wasn't easy. I have a GR shelf with all of my Lyme-related books and reviews, if you're there. If not, I can post a link. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. 💚💚 7y
ReadingGrrl That would be great can you post a link to the gr shelf 7y

Good mystery but very bogged down with Israel/Palestine politics. Great female detective who struggles to balance work and home in a patriarchal & religious society.

"America, Mr Robert, is not the melting pot you Americans like to say it is. It's oil and water. Things get stirred, sure but they eventually separate and settle, and the like things always go back to each other. " - this quote felt a little too much like the conservative right these days

Great installment In the DI Helen Grace series - each thriller gets a bit better - this one ends on a bit of a cliff hanger.

Suzze Just started that today! Love the series. 8y
ReadingGrrl My only complaint was that I felt Charlie was different - hopefully she will be back to herself next book 8y

After reading this there is no way I would want to be a telepath it would be exhausting. This is a great paranormal mystery romance. I loved the writing and the story. It ends on a bit of a cliff hanger but that was okay.

This was an action packed book that was a good set up to a new trilogy. People who like the Sookie Stackhouse books and even Janet Evanovich's number series would appreciate this book. The monsters and supernatural element combined with the newbie inexperience lead to some interesting interactions.
