Mostly from Egwene, Mat and Perrin perspective, this book is the aftermath of a battle of the three growing up to the journey to Tear which I hear as Týr. Rand is in danger and his buddies aim to help him. I am really enjoying this book. I am about to crack the spine of book 4.

The story ended up getting better beyond the over use of poor similes. It really got better and I was left guessing on who is the bad guy. I enjoyed the sister interactions and how the author plugged issues from the past to the present.

Read this one and I enjoyed the back and forth between timelines and perspectives. At one point from the island perspective. Magic? Some. Love? Yup. Straight up obsession? In spades. The ending/resolution was rushed. For the build up it was depleted fast. With little to no resolution. A book I enjoyed but was unmemorable.

I am in the beginning of this book. The sisters just arrived to Bone Hill. The amount of similes this writer does are poorly written. Every paragraph is had a sentence “like a ____”. It is very distracting from what seems to a be fun read.

I have all three books open. Reading through two and then going back to one to check what I missed as insignificant. Hardness writes a lot of history within her books. Book two transports me into the past. I really enjoy this book. Also peaked into the series after reading the books. Glad they left the yoga out… the book is as normal better than the show

I think Ronald Malfi is growing to be a favorite writer of mine. This book was a mixture of Joe Hill N0s4a2 and IT. Jamie Warren is Home.

This is a generational book. Starts in France into England. The first three stories are kinda the same, so I got bored. Been flipping through the fourth generation. So far it is just okay. Not as much witchcraft as I thought it could but I suppose that is where generation four comes into play.

I am reading the book. The writing style is difficult but once I gathered how the writer speaks and thinks I understand. Not halfway there in the book but so far I haven‘t been scared. Some sad animal cruelty.

I am in a heat wave in the west coast reading about Australia also going through a heat wave. I can relate to that for sure. The book was fine and full of mystery. I liked it but probably won‘t remember it after a book or two. Three days is how fast I read it.

This was my first foray into the Wolfwalker Series. I loved Reszia and Ukiah. I read this as a teen and am a woman in my mid thirties. I didn‘t have the back story to Reszia‘s grandmother. Once I read Wolfwalker the Ember Dion Tale I loved the stories. I recommend for the young woman to read.

I finished this last night. The way this book is written grabbed me. Typically, I don‘t really talk about writing unless to bitch but this was nicely done. Kinda like when I read Gene Wolfs books The Knight and The Wizard. I like when they are writing to someone. Come With Me isn‘t a happy book but it is satisfactory in outcome. Ending seemed a bit rushed. I recommend!

I am really trying to get into this book. It is part two but every time I read a romantic interaction between two people who haven‘t known each other over a fortnight angers me. I get it-end of the world brings people together in life and death but they do not know each other. I start to get into the surviving strife and then someone tucks a hair behind an ear, or a forehead kiss occurs. Wtf.

Okay, this was fun. I love the interpretation that Neil gave. I am familiar with the stories. I loved it.

This book is one if those books I am glad to have read. An avid Greek Mythology fan, I was pleased to read about the heroes of old. Daedalus was my favorite character in the book. After Odysseus (the Iliad has been out for centuries, so if you have not read it by now, I don‘t know what to tell you) left, I was bored. Can‘t say I recommend, can‘t say not to read it. It was…okay.

Just started this and really enjoying. Learned that peanut butter allergies are on the rise as less people are exposed to it. Also that the ban of nuts somehow includes legumes. This unfortunate counter to protect the vulnerable has caused a higher amount of those to also get allergic making more...vulnerables. I don‘t normally read non fiction, but I will be finishing this one. One complaint- not enough dragons. So far...0 dragon appearance

Simple read. Love Hadrian. Love the connection between the ancient story age of empire series to the historic relationship. I love the story. Got a cold. Vaccinated of Covid a month plus ago. Plagues still aplenty.

Previously, I read the Age of Empire series which timeline is in the past of this series. This current series tickles me as I see the changes that the history makes. Michael J Sullivan writes easily compared to other world makers-looking at you George RR Martin and Patrick Rothfuss.

The brutal honesty of who you think you are and what you are. Frank presented his world and it simply collapses. Reading how this couple fails each other is heart wrenching. Frank portrayed himself as a French speaking world traveler to his wife. They dreamt of leaving this white picket fence world and keeping up with the Jones. Turns out he doesn‘t mind the world and in my view fails his marriage or at least lies time and again. Picture for fun

I have a hard time reading real, adult books. No. Fiction is not my forte. Haven‘t finished as there is a substantial lack of dragons, but that being said what I have read I enjoyed. How doctors learned about scurvy or how blood letting killed George Washington. So many people believe in homeopathy and this is a great review on woo.

This is the fourth of Darcy Coates books I have read. It had one thing I always enjoy in a book. Loooooove. Was surprised to find that it a twosome. Read one in the AM. Read the other in the PM. I enjoyed it. It is a simple read.

I love Victorian romances. Elizabeth Thornton (RIP) is one of my favorite authors of that era. This is not my favorite book of hers but I enjoyed it as well. I want to branch out. Any romance novels based elsewhere like India or Spain? Suggestions similar would be welcome 🥰

Third book of that I read from the author. The first time I thought-oooo creepy. Probably due to there being a cat involved. Wolfgang, you fluffy beastie. Again, simple linear read. Girl in bad spot financially, inherited house. Moves in, scary stuff happens. Cat. Scary stuff comes to light-Fin. I say this is a easy starter for scary stories.

Merry Christmas. Fun read. Took me a long time as I hard time getting through the first couple chapters.

The book is fairly simply written. No grand analogies, quizzical expressions. The scary stuff I felt weren‘t scary but I imagine reading versus audio might be better. The reason I say pick is that I do look forward to reading others of hers. It is a simple, fun story.

I am not going to say it is a bad book. I enjoyed the story but not going to say go read it. It was lacking in magic but talked about it. The relationships are something I enjoyed. The grief and hope drew me in.

I admit, I watched the movie and loved it. After watching it for the fourth time, I saw that this was a book I went to my local used bookstore and bought it. The story was on par with the movie, but it was far more into how the horns came to be, how they work, the whole devil mindset. The writing itself was simplistic. Recommend reading for a light read journey.

Book two. I really enjoy the story. Patrick Rothfuss writes really well. The story differs in location and cultures. I would love to hear theories of who the mysterious patron is for Denna.

I enjoyed the story immensely. The gods are fallible, humorous and powerful. I enjoyed the Egyptian gods and lakeside. The depiction of the areas I kind of skipped over. Probably because I have not been there. I kept looking forward to reading on my break. Now on to the next adventure.

It took me a long time to enjoy this book. The book is based in a world with little context of it. But after I got into the story, it really took off. The story is a high recommend but with the caveat that it is a series but the third book is pending. Apparently, the author is playing the George RR Martin and not getting the book out.

I really enjoyed the journey that Rebecca Dekker went through. Her promotion of body autonomy and using evidence to change stagnant hospital culture is helpful. I do feel like she said things as factually as she researched. My only concern the the blanket statements.

I read this as a teenager and it stands to be one of my favorite book series. I understand that Tara K Harper is a native Californian and slowly going blind so her books take a long time to come out. The character of Dion was my journey through relationships and fear. With her I experienced my first heartbreak were I cried over the loss of a character. My go to of her series is Greyheart. I loved the story.
