Disturbing, but I could not put this one down. It's definitely not one for the faint hearted.

This was bought for me as a present and although it wouldn't have been a story I would have chosen for myself, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Donna Tartt's use of descriptive language enabled me to really get to know each of the characters. This in itself was the reason I liked this book so much. I felt like I was on the journey with them, which at times made me feel uneasy and apprehensive. This, however is what made the novel so gripping.
