4/5
Enjoyed, felt like it wasn‘t a stand-alone although the book didn‘t really tell me until the about the author at the back (irritating). Will read more of this author.
Didn‘t want to put down at bed time.

Good but not for me. I found the characters unlikeable and the plot unbelievable especially towards the end.
Ok for a short read but not one I intend to read again. Good twist at the end but also felt rather unrealistic. 3.5/5 for me.
Very tense and definitely an easy read.
A complicated plot and a bit unrealistic but highly enjoyable all the same. I look forward to others by this author!
The first part was sporadic in prose but certainly looked at how a child might perceive the events of the holocaust post occurring. The second part was fascinating and as it was only an excerpt from Beware of God I would like to read the rest!
Really enjoyed. I partially guessed the end but still surprising how everything did finish.
Getting into the #halloween spirit! Fab book. The Birds is my personal favourite but enjoyed the other 5 short stories. Must read more of her books!
Whilst the style was surprisingly modern in feel the protagonist annoyed me and the occasional French was disruptive, especially as it was at a level beyond my hazy memories of GCSE. Picked up pace when I got to part 2 which made it a bit easier. Not something I'd intend to reread #backtothecharityshop
