Nothing to See Here | Kevin Wilson

I enjoyed Nothing to See Here so much more then I expected to! The story went in such an unexpected direction and the character development was great. It was a super quick read too since it‘s under 300 pages. The only thing I didn‘t like was that there were a few things that were never answered where I‘m still wondering why after finishing the book, so I guess I have to leave that to the imagination. 7/10⭐️

The Vanishing Half was super enjoyable, eye opening, and gave a point of view from a life I would never really understand without reading this book. It really makes you think about privilege and how everyone has their own secrets that shape who they are in life. I would definitely recommend, especially in the times we are living in it provides a perspective everyone should see and understand. 9/10 ⭐️

CarolynM I'm looking forward to this one. Great review.🙂 4y

This book was SO wonderful. The perfect mix of romance and comedy and it really makes you feel all of the emotions. It‘s very easy to get lost in the story and has great quotes that will make you think about life. I only wish the town was real as I would visit it in a heartbeat. 10/10

This was not my favorite read as it borderlines a horror fiction novel and it really messed with your mind. I also had trouble getting through it. It‘s a very dark and twisty novel and I still feel I need answers. Once the action started I was able to get into the story but it just took a while. 6/10

This book was AMAZING I was obsessed with it. It was full of lines that really stuck with you and the songs were great and you felt the emotion of each character. Overall this has been one of my favorite reads so far this year and I think everyone should read it before it becomes a short series on Amazon. 10/10

I decided to read this book after watching the movie last week with family. The book was very similar to the movie, almost word for word! It‘s a cute story, quick read, and really inspires you to want to travel to Antarctica! 7/10

A classic everyone should take the time to read once! Just an overall nice, coming of age story. Took longer to finish then I expected but I think it was because of the writing style. 8/10

This was not my favorite book as the story was extremely predictable and I didn‘t like the magical element that the whole story was based around. I had a hard time relating to the main character and once the plot twist was revealed I knew exactly where the story was going. A very quick read though as it‘s only 260 pages, and the last chapter will make you cry. It did focus on the romanticism of friendships not relationships which I liked! 5/10

“Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash”

This book was so unexpectedly good, I didn‘t want to put it down. The love story of two young people who fell in love at the wrong time. The passion in the writing was amazing and I definitely cried more then I want to admit. 9/10💞

“History, huh?”

This isn‘t a book I would choose to read myself, but I‘m so glad my book club decided on it. It was a classic romance story with a cute ending and a quick read! The way it‘s written really makes you believe in the love between the 2 main characters. I did feel as though I was reading a hallmark movie, which was enjoyable, but I would‘ve liked some unpredictability to the story, as you could predict the ending very early on. 6.5/10

Rich people problems is the final novel in the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy and it did not disappoint. Kwan was able to tie up every storyline created for every character involved, even minor characters I don‘t have questions about after finishing it. I only wish there was more explanation on Su Yi‘s past. I‘m so happy with how Kwan ended the series and I highly recommend this series to everyone! 8/10

China Rich Girlfriend is the second novel in the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy and it was amazing. This story went in directions I never expected, and I was on the edge of my seat while reading. Kwan was able to connect almost every character introduced, each storyline being more complex then the next. I definitely liked this story better then the first one, and I can‘t wait to see what the third and final novel has in store 😍 9/10

thevagabondlawyer I still have to read the last book of the series 👏 loving this series 👍 5y

After seeing the movie first, I thought I knew what to expect but I was completely wrong. This novel was so detailed in both descriptions and in making sure the reader understood all aspects of the Chinese culture. At times I felt overwhelmed because so many characters were introduced at a time, many that were never seen again so navigating who you need to remember was a chore. Overall a great read and I can‘t wait to finish the series - 7/10

Pageturner1 I read this on audio book. I too thought a lot of people to remember. But listening to it on audio book I found it very funny. I really enjoyed the story more. I really liked the narrator with the Asian accent. It made it more fun to listen too. I am on the second book in audible now. 5y

“None of us ever know all the possible courses our lives could have and maybe should have taken”

I was obsessed with this book and never wanted to put it down. The story had me constantly on edge and every emotion the characters felt I felt along with them. It had me smiling, it had me crying, and it had me thinking about life once I was done. 9/10 would recommend!!

This book completely immersed me from the second I started reading it. Being around the same age as the 3 main characters I found myself to be able to relate to each one in different ways, even though their stories took place 62 years ago. It was exciting, emotional, and made it easy to get lost in the publishing world of NYC. 9/10 would recommend😍

I have finally finished All The Light We Cannot See and although it took me months to finish, the book itself was extraordinarily written and the author made sure every minor subplot was tied together. It left no unanswered questions. Some chapters were rough to get through but towards the last 100 pages I didn‘t want to stop. 6/10

SamAnne I recommend Dover‘s short story collections esp. Memory Wall. Very different from this novel though. A 5y
