I prefer more suspense and excitement in my mystery books so this book was a little disappointing in that respect; however it did offer some twists and turns with a surprise ending.
A beautiful historic plantation and a crime scene make for good mystery! Uncovering the killer while also uncovering layers of racism and social justice will keep you enthralled with the characters and story. I liked it!
