Epic, engrossing book. Terrible treatment of POW during the civil war.

Still reading this but so far I really like it. … I finished this and while I generally liked it including the ending, I thought there were some slow parts. Also I wished she tied up some loose ends by telling some of the children‘s stories after they escaped.
