In the fourth installment of the song of ice and fire series we see the POV of two major characters taken out and new ones of minor characters put in which in my opinion enhanced the story to know what's going on in so many different places.

There is a savage beast in every man, and when you hand that man a sword or spear and send him forth to war, the beast stirs.
