pick“The Hate You Give” is a book about a young black girl, who was driving with her friend on her way home from a party and a cop pulls them over. The cop asks the driver to step out of the car and the cop shoots him shortly after. This causes riots and a big movement run by a teenage girl. I‘d rate this book an easy 10/10! It was amazing to read and really kept me engaged and wanting to keep reading. I‘d recommend this book to anyone who reads.

If you love books that can be very easily turned into something that could be real life, this book is for you. Angie Thomas did an amazing job at making the readers connect with the characters. I highly recommend this book to all readers.
