This book blew my mind. I was hooked almost immediately and was simultaneously horrified and intrigued. This book felt totally authentic, which is probably why I couldn't stop reading it. I'm totally creeped out now, and in a very good way.
I have never been a fan of Stephen King's books before – I just couldn't get into them. But I heard that people who felt that way still liked this book, so I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did, because it was magnificent. Well worth the time and effort spent to read it this massive book!
Me when I hit halfway at 11am: "I don't need sleep, I need answers!!!"
This was full of really graphic violence and was totally disturbing. I couldn't look away, I had to know everything. Extremely well done.
This book was incredible. The prose was beautiful and mostly accessible. At times it dragged, but it was extremely well done. The jumping back and forth of timelines was a bit confusing, but overall it worked. I can see why it's recommended for Gone Girl fans, but the prose here is more elevated.
(Interior photo, not cover.) Ugh this book was SO GOOD I'm sad it's over. Great illustrations and the plot is so intriguing! Highly recommend it. (And get the deluxe version, you get a lot more in that one book.)
Bloodydamn fabulous. An epic end to the Red Rising Trilogy. Highly recommend for everyone - not just sci-if fans!
Terrifyingly good. This is Apple meets Google Campus plus Orwell's 1984.
This is an all time favourite of mine. It's a translation from Spanish, and while I'm always iffy on translated books, this one is beautifully done. The story itself is intense and engaging.
