What a great book. Noah does a great job of making you think about race, culture, and family as he documents bits of his childhood in South Africa. I learned a lot about the country and the effects of Apartheid. I laughed a lot but also had to shut the book and reflect several times about the hard truths he discusses. Please read this.

"If I don't punish you, the world will punish you even worse." I'm almost done and am really enjoying this. This quote from his mother is one I need to remember as a new parent. Great book. I'm learning a lot about South Africa, thinking a lot about race and culture, and I'm laughing a lot at Trevor Noah's brilliant humor.

It seems every one of my colleagues has read this. Time to hop on board. I've heard good things.
