This was an excellent book full of magic, animals, history, and a superb example of how to blend history with fantasy and fiction and make it lighthearted and enjoyable. I loved every character and couldn't put it down.

The premise of this book had me expecting a full-fledged catfish story, but it turned into a cute high school romance story that didn't take too many liberties with reality but still left you wondering where the hell everyone's parents were the whole time. This was a quick read and I definitely teared up towards the end.
