An impressive anthology by an impressive poet. Parker‘s blend of history, myth and legend continues to deliver powerful emotional punches with each poem.

The short story‘s prose was just a lyrical as her poetry. Can wait to read more from Parker. I‘m a devoted fan now.

‪It‘s more middle grade than young adult but wow was this so very good! Sea monsters, wacky characters, weird world building, and an awesome mc. I def recommend it!‬

A unique story telling style, the use of made up words, the personification of a house, and one character‘s hair, supernatural and horror elements combine to make this one of the coolest books I‘ve ever read. This detective group is a bunch of troubled adults in their twenties trying to come to terms with the trauma they faced during their last case of their childhood, of which they‘ve reunited to finally solve.
