Beautiful story. Beautiful pictures. #poetry
It picked up better in the middle to the end. I'll get the next ones and see if I get a better appreciation for them.
I've been revisiting #poetry lately to get inspiration for my own writings. Paint Me Like I Am is a collection of poems from the non-profit organization WritersCorps. All of the poems were written by teens from San Francisco, Bronx, and Washed D.C. I found it very inspirational; I haven't written much poetry since I was a teen and it reminded me of who I once was.
I related to this so much.
I LOVED this book. I don't read a lot of biographies or non-fiction in general, but it's Carrie Fisher and Princess Leia was my first hero.
Not too bad for a Literary Theory book. I think it was well edited for the most part, but I think there could have been a better balance on the different theories and their interpretation.
Revisiting some of my favorite poems for #writinginspiration #writing #poetry
I didn't mind this book. I've read it before, several years ago, and it seems a bit more dated now. I read it this go round for a paper on the evolution of romance novels through text.
"We were the people who were not in the papers. We lived in the blank white space at the edges of print." #littheory #untilithappenstoyou #blindbutnowisee #moderndayrelevance
"The night is mine, my own time to do with as I will, as long as I am quiet. As long as I don't move. As long as I lie still."--I'm finally getting to read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. #littheory
"May the odds be ever in your favor". Movie Marathon today.
"You must kill the thing you love." Poor Val. I've waited to see what makes him tick, and loved the story!
So excited that my Librarian's Book Club books came in today!
