No matter how fucked up we think we are, there's always someone worse out there. Careful what you portray to others, you're never quite sure who's watching. Once you see your quirks up close under a microscope, they tend to be more difficult to explain and rationalize. But hey, we're all a little fucked up, yeah?

Deliciously deranged in all the right ways.

This, this is the true definition of darkness. This is the tragedy that IS the human condition. Nothing has brought me further down than this. Notice has grabbed me by the chest and taken me down to the basement, locked the door, and threw away the key. Unrelenting sorrow, anxiety, and shear horror in a way I've never experienced. I love this book in a way NO ONE should love anything.

I've been trying to find a CV Hunt book as good as Ritualistic Human Sacrifice, and have yet to. This book is so entirely disjointed, I found it challenging to make sense of it. (and not in a good way). The search continues.........

Rampant madness and comedy abound.

Wonderfully deranged. An excellent take on Cthulhu.

Solid beginning, okay middle, VERY messy ending.

How do we carry parts of us when we go through change? Which parts do we let go, and which parts do we keep? What happens when we board up a house filled with our faults, and then need to break back in?

Dark, Gross, Funny and Heartfelt. What a ride.

Felt like an infomercial about halfway through. Fairly disappointed.

Wonderfully graphic and fantastically ridiculous, had my heart racing for the last 50 pages.

Wonderfully written. Nice twist and turns. Can't wait to get into Octopus next.

Some twists, light horror and no gore. Extremely easy reading for Shaw. Hoping for some major events in book 3.

Solid start to an unexpected nail biter.

A slow burn descent into grotesque madness and pure self revelations.

Absolutely deranged and incredible. Cringe worthy. Nightmare inducing. Rampant boundless insanity.
Proceed with caution.

How could there be trouble when there are such things of beauty still alive and blissfully living their life in ignorance to the dangers surrounding them? I smiled. Not because of the deer but because of me. I smiled because I found the deer to be beautiful. With everything going on in the world, I found beauty. I hadn‘t lost my humanity. I hadn‘t lost my soul. More importantly - I hadn‘t lost my hope.

I did not enjoy the twist, it really seemed like an easy way out. I mean, don't get me wrong, it does put a nice little bow on end of the story. With the characters not having their memories, we are somewhat denied any sort of character development. It's definitely not as gross as it is made out to be. The gore is far less detailed than the sex. I would check out more from Shaw before I give up on him.

Horror like you've never imagined. With a cover like that, how could you turn away? An opus of hatred, contempt, spite and gore. Hilariously wretched, far-fetched, but so detailed you would swear this really happened.

Absolutely incredible. The universal definition of grief and loss is heavy here. Langan's imagery is beyond description. This story will sit with me forever. I'll never look into the water the same way ever again.

Spectacular, far and away so much better than the movie. They are, in fact so different that I now consider them two different pieces of work/narrative.
Fight Club is a novel for broken men. Men who feel like they have no one to talk to, no one to expose their weaknesses to......it's a commentary on emotional maintenance and I loved it.

Nice and detailed. Efficient read. Plot lines and symbolisms definitely connected after putting it down.
