Amazing. Just as simple as retelling the Persephone myth to explain the monster that is the creative soul, and just as complex. Beautiful writing. Precise imagery. Fantastical arabesques of words casting uncanny shadows to ensorcel the reader's spirit.

3.5 star silly sexist story. Not a Modern Mystery but it feels like a procedural without cops. The mystery isn't challenging but in the end it's a solid story.

This is late for Holocaust Remembrance Day. It is a horrible truth that some people are able to countenance vile, evil behavior they are not subjected to. This book is a reminder that the price of Hate is your humanity.

Fun follow-up to The Body on the Barstool. I wasn't able to get past caricatures of evangelists, and I am a strong anti-christian.

It's book 9 in the series, so if you're still on the fence about reading it...DO IT! As always, the St Mary's Disaster Magnets go full throttle into everything they do. Max and her Leon are, well, even more themselves than ever. Read the series in order, though, including the short stuff.

4 stars for a fun involving chicklit cozy mystery. Only $3.99 on Kindle. Worth every dime for the chuckles. They start w the murder of the sleuth's ex husband...her GAY ex husband who's her bestie too. Laughs and sighs and fun all around.

I give it the full 5 stars. Major changes for main characters, lots of maturing. Book 7 and no series sag! Amazing.

5 stars. Buy for $3.99 on Kindle to give to all people under 25.

Four stars. Grown-up men in a real, developing relationship. Believable underpinning of a fun urban fantasy.
