Picked up at Seattle Steamposium! Sounds like an exciting read. :-D
For any steampunkers;
Lady of Devices is a fantastic book!
Just picked up the second one and am excited to see where the author takes it.
Shelley Adina has built a spectacular world here...
This book might be my favorite fairytale. Crusie is a genius, I love her work.
I am sooooo so stoked to find these on Kindle!! These were some of my favorite stories growing up, and I'm excited to share them with the new kiddos of the family.
Just grabbed this one, in a friend's recommendation. Really curious for the chapters on household sustainability.
"You get yourself into strange places when you‘re broke, jobless, and trying to figure out how to pay back sixty thousand dollars in college loans."
Oh my word, this book! I'm entirely in love, and only 2 chapters in. Julia Stuart might be my new favorite.
Jane and Elizabeth attempted to explain to her the nature of an entail. They had often attempted it before: but it was a subject on which Mrs. Bennet was beyond the reach of reason; and she continued to rail bitterly against the cruelty of settling an estate away from a family of five daughters, in favour of a man whomever nobody cared anything about.
excited to finish this. I read the companion book "Captivating," and it was perfect! these aren't self-help or "how to be a better man/woman" books, they're about understanding your fundamental needs as a human, and respecting that.
my Mama is a funny woman. This was the present she brought me from her trip!
prepping for Chanukah!
books! distracting me from writing, but they're so pretty!
if you need a high fantasy read, this ones is mine. Coming-of-age story in a classical fantasy setting. With a few quirks...
If you are ever lucky enough to find this book, you should read it (last checked, it was out of print.)
The writing style isn't my favorite, but the story is compelling and... holy dude. Worth a read.
