I was drawn in by the beauty of this book's cover but the writing just didn't match up...it felt very awkward at times, and a lot of the dialogue didn't seem believable to me. I had high expectations, and this one just fell short.

"Poetry aims for an economy of truth - loose and useless words must be discarded, and I found that these loose and useless words were not separate from loose and useless thoughts"
Full of great world- building with an interesting concept, this is a pretty fun read. Although the writing feels a bit verbose at first, it becomes part of the charm once you're caught up in the story. Recommend for fans of sci-fi and dystopian fiction with a dry sense of humour.
Great quick read with lots of suspense and a great twist. Not as good as Gone Girl but still a great read for those who like mystery and thrills! I ripped through it in a weekend!
Reading two books at once for the first time in years! About halfway through them both, and really liking them...it's hard to decide which to pick up!
If Amy Poehler recommends it, how can I resist? Time to see what all the buzz is about!
A bit of a slow start but I ended up enjoying it, mostly due to Ishiguro's writing and the unreliable narrator. Still a bit disappointing, however, after Never Let Me Go.
Liking this book so far, until I got to the flashback where the main character meets his wife. It's unbearably cheesy...what university students talk like this?! On a first date no less!
Rainy afternoons mean it's time for a new book and a cozy blanket.
I'd have to say this was probably my favourite of the trilogy. The world building in this one was pretty fantastic, and the character development really sucked me in. The author includes a little note at the end about how some of that world-building and background info came about- very interesting!
