Book of the month, yo.
A book with the biggest of big hearts, one that joins the ranks of my favorites. I'm so glad to have met and lived with Count Rostov for 462 pages.

Delayed in reading my #bookofthemonth book this month. Excited to finally start this book.
Well, so far A Little Life is making Jude the Obscure seem like a Monty Python sketch. It gets happier, right? Right?
Just last week I said I wasn't buying more books. And then I bought more books. I need to quit my job for reading purposes.
I may be going to some faraway places.
Such a great trilogy. Sad that it's over! #Heaphouse #Foulsham #Lungdon.
Back with Clod and Binadit to see how it all pans out in the third and final book in Carey's excellent #Iremonger series. #Lungdon
Old-fashioned whodunnit that doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. It mostly takes place on a luxury cruise ship where the rich and influential have gathered. One of them has nefarious intent. Who could it be? Good, fast paced fun and sharp, clear prose.
Because I couldn't just pick just one #bookofthemonth book from the #bookofthemonthclub, I'm now gonna shoot for an old fashioned mystery recommended by @Liberty Onward!
Rolling with an unputdownable Book of the Month Club selection. #bookofthemonth #bookofthemonthclub
Getting my magic-realism on. It's the price on the book that caught my attention.
Now this is what I call an opening line. So great. "They brought the big man in on a winter night when the moon looked as hazy as the heart of an ice cube."
Fantasy? Sci-Fi? Something different? Whatever you call it, this is riveting, page turning fun. Lots of surprises. Can't wait for the next book. Really glad to have finished most of @24in48 with this book. I can't remember the last time I read a book in a day. Jemisin is an excellent teller-of-tales.
Oh my God. This book. The first 100 pages, I struggled, wondered what it was all about. The last 200 pages was an extended, "Oh!" that's what it's all about. Brilliant and beautiful.
"Time is a fish," said Nanapush slowly, "and all of us are living on the rib of it's fun." @24in48
McKay Used Books is Dangerous. Tonight I was mostly in a sci-fi fantasy mood. But I couldn't pass up a .99 Kite Runner either.
I have bought books at McKays Used Books, in Manassas, VA. If I still lived near here, I'd just sign my paycheck over to them.
It's taken me a long time to get into this book but at around page 120, it clicked. Sometimes you just have to be patient.
I'm going away for a week, week and a half, depending on how things go. I hope I'm bringing enough books.
What's next? Maybe something about the ocean?
Such a beautiful edition. Can't wait to get started.
Sitting by our BioLite Stove on the 4th of July eating dinner and reading some Louise Erdrich
Finished one book, jumping right into the next. Ah, summer.
A sharp book that makes me wvarz to pick up my iPhone to share this review.
