I thought this was an original way to tell a story, but by the halfway mark it became monotonous for me..and I had figured out how this book was going to finish.
I've enjoyed (almost every) Stephen King book since I read Firestarter when I was 10...but I didn't really enjoy this book, and couldn't swallow all the PC BS at the end. Maybe do yourself a favor and just skip ahead to the next book in your 'to read' list.
Twice while reading this book, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish. The rawness of the abuse is hard to read....having said that; this novel and the main character Turtle are worth the effort! I think that this story is going to stick with me a long time.
I really enjoyed this book! I found it unpredictable and charming. Definitely going to read more by this author.
This was an ok book, good premise -but I found it predictable.
I love finding a few fantasy series, completely different than anything else out there. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like the story, but I'm glad I stuck with it - definitely going to read book #2.
Very reminiscent of Girl on the Train & The Good Girl....I'd give this book a 7/10.
Amazing - I couldn't put this book down! From the first sentence, the writer grabs your interest and keeps it throughout the entire story. More please...
I just finished this amazing book - then went and put everything this author has written 'on hold' at my library. Like The Time Traveler's Wife, and The Night Circus this story of going to stay with me for a long time...
I ate this book up and wanted more...it seems like I've read several books with a similar premise lately, but this one really stood out to me. Can't wait to read something else by this author.
The second book in this series, made my skin crawl just as much as the first....it's spider-tastic.
I'm glad that I plowed through the 3rd installment of this series, but it was hard reading at times. The whole premise was a little on the existential side for my taste. . . I will say that the series finished on a final and satisfying note, for me.
You've got to like a book that's got more than one "gasp" twist going on!
I didn't care for the writing style of this book, and only made it 10 pages before it went to my library return shelf.
Just finishing The Twelve, can't wait to read the last book in this trilogy! Such an interesting take on the 'vampire' genre, I enjoyed this story a lot.
I loved this book - modern day fairy tale with a Russian twist.
