Not as good as the other books in the series. An easy cozy read, but not much in terms of mysteries. Roe seemed sort of off compared to the earlier books.
A great police procedural set right after Jack the Ripper. A bit gory, but wonderfully thought out characters. Especially glad to see strong female characters in a period piece.
I've surprisingly never read Pat Conroy before even though I love the Low Country. Beautifully written! #leftbankbooks #lovemyindie
Reading for book club. Hope I can finish!
The perfect road trip read! So suspenseful!
Excellent mystery full of twists and turns. Love the juxtaposition of cold case with current murders. Will definitely be reading the rest of the series!
The newly dubbed General Lafayette was only nineteen years old. Considering Independence Hall was also where the founders calculated that a slave equals three-fifths of a person and cooked up an electoral college that lets Florida and Ohio pick our presidents...
Could not get into this one :( the premise is awesome, but it's just not for me
Loving this book so far! Witty, intelligent, and very macabre.
A great Gothic read set in the 1960s and the present. The ending was a bit quick, but very easy to read while still keeping the wonderful atmosphere.
A fun continuation of the series. Cozy, tea, and Charleston! What more could you want?
Such an amazing and profound read. Philosophical, uber intelligent, and a great plot!
