Olivia is a doctor who works in Liberia fighting a deadly virus. She is sent home for Christmas and has to quarantine with her family for seven days.
While this story takes place in 2016, the events honestly fit perfectly within this crazy year we call 2020. It's a good story about a modern family trying to navigate their lives and their circumstances will either bring them closer together or drive them farther apart.

I really loved this sweet story about two strangers who spend a weekend together, helping each other through grief. Both strangers suffered from traumatic events and it shows that you never know who will be there to help you through. It includes struggles with mental health and suicide, so if that is something that might be triggering, this may not be the right book for you.
I really loved this book. I was skeptical, at first, because the whole thing is written as an interview. I don't enjoy reading interviews and wasn't sure how she'd be able to use this style to write a complete story or paint a strong picture in my mind. Boy was I wrong! She did an amazing job creating each character and showing the events from multiple angles. I was engrossed with this story and couldn't put it down.
⭐⭐⭐.5 This book was different than I expected, but I liked it. It didn't have quite as much suspense as I was anticipating, but it had some good twists and it kept me entertained.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was a great book, though it felt like more of a crime book than a thriller. Virgil is an "enforcer." People call him in to help them seek justice when the federal government refuses to prosecute major crimes that occur on the reservation. When heroin shows up, Virgil is called upon to put a stop to it.
I would give this 3.5 stars. It was a solid 3 stars until the end. 🤯 It was nothing like I was expecting, but I liked it. I don't sail, so there were a lot of descriptions that I didn't pay much attention to because I don't really care about sailing. But I thought it was an interesting storyline and I was intrigued enough that I wanted to see how it ended.
