I like Greg's writing in The Washington Post. This is a good book that lays all the individual pieces into a comprehensive understandable timeline. Very interesting. I wonder if The Mueller Report reads as well? Maybe.

I know I am in deep. My excuse is I live in DC. Politics is a local sport. Is the rest of the country watching?

I saw a documentary a few years ago that was a better narrative of the babuska's return than this book. Meh.

Best description of Alabama:"The state sits like a headstone between Missippi and Georgia, its top flush against Tennessee, its base resting mostly on the panhandle of Florida, but dipping at its tip into the Gulf of Mexico."

Now that is how to write.

Look. Listen. I listened to this in one day. Boy, did my house get clean and my laundry folded. Seriously, I'm a murderino, and could not stop. Highly recommend.

3rd in a mystery series. This one scared me the most. Creepy when it's a part of nature that could kill us all. Hightly recommend The Naturalist series. Added bonus is it's on Kindle Unlimited. Negative is that the 4th won't be published until Oct 2019.

Just not the right book for me right now.

Victoriahoperose I wasn‘t a huge fan either of this one. It was very slow. 5y

Great read ... available on Kindle Unlimited... 2nd in series of 4 (so far)

If you like your amateur detectives bright taut, and full of science this is for you. As good (if not better) than the 1st, #The Natualist.

(If I knew how to put book covers in my reviews using my phone, you knew I would)

rretzler I just search for my book on google and find a picture of it (if it‘s an ebook). If it‘s a real book, I just take a pic. Then I can edit the screen shot (or pic) to make it square and upload it. If your phone can‘t do a square edit (iPhones can), you can use a free photo editor like PicCollage. Then save the pic to your phone gallery and upload to Litsy! 5y

I was afraid it wouldn't hold up to the hype. I was wrong. Took me back to high school and the summers and music that would never be the same. Amazing.

It is well researched but dense and dark. I gave up. If you are interested in subject I'd recommend the interview with the author on the podcast "Criminal Broads". Victorian England was a sad tough time for women and even worse for those barely surviving, due to poverty, illness, and lack of rights.

Oh, Karen White, you are like a glass of sweet tea on a hot humid night. You go down so easy when I need a drink.

A pleasant surprise from World Book Day. An atmospheric, taut modern gothic mystery set in Galicia, Spain. I highly recommend. It may still even be free on Kindle.
