Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy | Jamie Raskin

In terms of nonfiction, I‘m calling this a #topread2022 and it‘s also the book that took place closest to me.

I live about twenty miles from the Capitol and maybe ten miles from the edge of Rep. Raskin‘s district. About half the books I read took place in the US.

On the other end of the spectrum, I read a couple books that featured action on extraterrestrial colonies, but the farthest away on Earth took place in New Zealand.🔽

Born a Crime | Trevor Noah

So difficult to choose a #TopRead2022 but after changing my mind several times have chosen Born A Crime, especially as stuck in my mind,I want to read it again and it is not usually a genre of books I would choose!

Of course ask me tomorrow and I might give you a different answer, each book is so different.

Bluebird A favorite of mine too! I read it a few years ago and still think about it. The audio version was terrific. 2y

SamAnne @Andrew65 I almost had to pull off an on-ramp in thw chapter where he‘s talking about how kids were given names of famous people with no knowledge of what those people actually did, and they play the bar mitzvah. 2y
