Although I wrote an enthusiastic review upon finishing McCullers' book a little over a year ago, I haven't posted about it since. Since the title work struck a chord with me, it is perfect for #titlethatstartswithb Adapted into a film in '91, it seems to be McCuller's second most well known work.
