BarkingMadRead @Bookwormjillk I have no idea! I‘m open to suggestions! 1y
CoffeeNBooks That gathering was a bit awkward. 🙄 And why did Mrs. Vincy say it's a pity that Mary isn't better looking? Is it so Mrs. Farebrother might not think Mary's right for Mr. Farebrother? Poor Fred- will he end up with Mary? And #Lydgateisinamood. 1y
Bookwormjillk @BarkingMadRead google says Tess of the D‘urbervilles or Bleak House are good next reads but I‘d take anything. 1y
Bookwormjillk @CoffeeNBooks he totally is 1y
BarkingMadRead @CoffeeNBooks Mrs Vincy needs to STFU! And such a mood! This is a disaster of his own making, he did this all on his own! 1y
Clare-Dragonfly @Bookwormjillk I‘d read Tess of the D‘Urbervilles—it‘s already on my Kindle! 1y
IndoorDame I‘d be interested in reading Agnes Grey and A Room of One‘s Own 1y
Bklover I will read whatever you decide. You are getting me through books I‘ve never made it through before. Bleak House sounds good, as does Tess or AG or A Room of Ones Own. 1y
Bklover Oh, and Lydgate can be such a jerk! 1y
eeclayton Lydgate certainly effed up, but remember he didn't really want to get married at this point in his career. I'm not saying he was forced, though. Also, Rosy is definitely not the helpful wife that supports her spouse through better or worse. 1y
eeclayton I'd be glad to join you for whichever suggestion gets picked. Tess has my vote, but I'd be interested in Bleak House, too. I've read Agnes Grey but I don't remember much, and A Room of One's Own is always worth rereading. 1y
IndoorDame I‘m interested in Tess as well! 1y
