Just...wow. This was possibly one of the most haunting, beautiful things I‘ve read in a long time. All I‘m capable of thinking right now is how brave the prisoners were in the face of hell, and that I hope their souls find peace - the ones who survived, and the ones who were never able to leave those terrible camps. #thelibrarianofauschwitz #antonioiturbe

Spending NYE with my books. I honestly can‘t wait to put 2017 far behind me, because it was A Year, but I‘m also grateful for the good things that happened in it. I‘m pretty determined to finish two more books by tomorrow at midnight, because 165 sounds better than 163. Even though this is hardly a light read because of the subject matter, 100 pages have flown by. I can‘t even begin to imagine what life was like for the prisoners at Auschwitz-Birkenau and the other concentration camps, but I know that they were braver than I could ever be. #thelibrarianofauschwitz #antonioiturbe
