I love how Mary Engelbreit is continuing to draw scenes from her favorite childhood books. I love this one. More here:

I bought this collection of Emily Dickinson poems the week I found out I was pregnant with my youngest. Now she asks me to read from the book each night at bedtime. It's been a sweet joy to share these with her. I love the illustrations by Tasha Tudor that are paired with each season-themed poem.
"The Bee is not afraid of me.
I know the Butterfly.
The pretty people in the Woods
Receive me cordially”
Final children's book for today - this Tasha Tudor story features her amazing illustrations as two little girls host thier annual Christmas party for their dolls. There is a dollhouse in this story that I am jealous of even as an adult 😂

Such a sweet book. The little doll family is happy until Marchpane, an obnoxious porcelain doll enters their midst. Wishing is the only way to communicate with their owners. It was fun and reminds me of Toy Story.

I couldn‘t really get into this one until about halfway through, and most of the characters were pretty annoying. However, once the trouble started, it was a pretty good story and actually pretty intense for a story about dolls. I kinda wish I had a tiny little wooden doll, tho. 😁 #childrensclassicread2020
