I had to cut my walk a bit short because I made my first book purchase of March and didn‘t realize I‘d forgotten my shopping bag until I was out of the thrift store. It‘s not a super heavy book, but it was still a bit awkward to hand carry it all the way home. Even so, I‘m glad I found it. I had the women‘s wear version out from the library for ages and found it an excellent resource.
Library haul! I need to alter my Yves Saint Laurent jacket so it actually fits me in the waist, and I want to make a bunch more clothes after that. Hopefully these three tailoring books will fill in some gaps in my knowledge base.
I also got a biography of Diefenbaker and a comic @TobeyTheScavengerMonk recommended.
Every year I sew a set of stuffed animals for my kids. The first was the (now mane-less, tail-less) green horse, Jingle, which my daughter got when she was two. I was thrilled last year when my daughter turned 18, as I assumed I would no longer have to sew animals at Christmastime. But no, I was informed, I must do this FOREVER. 😂

While I appreciate this well-intentioned book, unfortunately the storytelling part lacked realism, rendering this book to be a rather insipid read.
