I was talking to fellow TX author RL Nolen at an event. Reminded that I really enjoyed her UK-set mystery about a mom in hiding who risks deportation to save her daughter. Nolen is also an Anne Cleeves fan & this is reflected in Nolen's vivid setting. (Story line is not as gory as back copy might lead you to believe.)
