I found this picture on mondaymandala.com and saved it to my phone to color in a coloring app and I colored it. I wanted to share a memory I have of my dog Toppy before she passed away on October 25, 2024. I‘m a night owl and it was cool that I got to hear owls hooting in the middle of the night. One owl was singing in a high pitched voice and the other owl was singing in a low pitched voice. They sounded good together.

This haiku is about what I saw in my backyard today. The blue jay flew off when I opened the door and I saw a lizard in the grass panting like he was scared to death. He was fighting for his life trying to keep from getting eaten. Poor baby. This picture of the Blue Jay is from Google.

This haiku is dedicated to my backyard wild birds and squirrels. I fed the birds and put out peanuts for the squirrels yesterday and put in fresh water in the bird bath yesterday and today. My birds and squirrels are having a party outside today in my backyard. They‘re happy.

so-soOld-school illustrations, and a story that isn‘t the easiest to get your tongue round - some of the sentences don‘t quite scan as they should. BUT…
