I feel like it‘s been a while since I last curled up with a memoir/essay collection! Hitting the shelves next week is this Nashville author‘s second book- and one that had me promptly adding her first to my TBR- a collection of snippets of her life, anxieties, fears and moments large and small over the past few years. In her forties and a mother of two, I think many will find something relatable here. It‘s a quick read and one that I enjoyed!

britt_brooke @TorieStorieS It definitely will! 😄 It‘s life several months out of the year, but we really do love it! Makes it hard to do anything else, though. 😝 I sure hope you get to Parnassus one day. It‘s pretty incredible! I‘m about 40 minutes away and it‘s just far enough to probably be a good thing 💸😂, but I don‘t go nearly enough. 3y

britt_brooke @TorieStorieS That‘s so fun! I try to hit indie shops when we go on vacations but I love the idea of that being the trip itself! When the time comes, you‘ve gotta hit The Bookshop in East Nashville, too. It‘s impeccably curated for a small space. 3y

Cinfhen Two of my nephews play/played soccer pretty intensely @britt_brooke both do/did the travel team circuit….that‘s when it starts to get less fun, I think 😉My nephew ( who had to stop playing due to too many injuries) played in Barcelona with FC Barcelona‘s youth team for 2 seasons. Soccer allows for cool connections. That‘s the beauty of sports! 3y

Your Life Is Mine | Nathan Ripley

I‘d rather be at home reading but when your oldest son and husband are the coach and assistant respectively, AND your youngest son plays on the soccer team as a mom you have to come out and cheer. ☀️📚⚽️ Not sure I like this one; the dialogue between characters is just getting under my skin and not in a good way.
