What an eye opener this book is! Anyone who is considering reducing their alchohol intake or giving up completely , i would highly recommend reading this book.Catherine drunken experiences are so relatable, and her simple coping techniques have helped me on my way of accomplishing my goal of a year sobriety! #sober#addiction#soberjourney

Eggbeater I'm in recovery too. So is @hermyknee ❤ 2 months 20 days sober so far! Welcome to Litsy! We can support each other. 5y

Eggbeater I liked this memoir, although it's not really a self help book. I found parts of the Narcotics Anonymous book helpful, though I never could do the God thing. I'm in AA, but I don't use their literature much currently. 5y
hermyknee Hey! Yes, I‘m here, too! I didn‘t go to AA at the beginning of my sobriety, but I am planning to start going to meetings this summer to ensure I maintain it and have people to talk to about it. @Eggbeater has been amazing support! I have a few recommendations you might like: 5y
hermyknee I liked this book, but I know @Eggbeater didn‘t; I think it depends upon your approach to sobriety. I haven‘t read it since getting sober, but reading it did lead me down the path to getting sober 5y

This is a GOOD question. Sober is the lack of drunkenness, but drunk is the lack of sobriety. Hm. Must ponder this further.
