One Dark Throne | Kendare Blake

Next up in my "Reading Slump Buster!" evening is One Dark Throne, the sequel to Three Dark Crowns which made it on my top ten of 2016 list. The cliffhanger ending of the last book is making reading this so much easier, hopefully enough to give my bookbrain a rolling jumpstart into full action. I still have 43 books left to read to meet my goodreads challenge this year! #slumpbegone #anyoneknowhowtohotwirethisthing

swatreads Lovely picture💗💗 I usually read short stories or a book from my favourite genre( thrillers/crime fiction) in my case, to put me out of a reading slump. Usually that helps. And I try not to read books from a similar genre at a stretch because I always get bored when I do that. Hope that helps💗💗 7y
Kalalalatja I'm 100 pages in, and so far, so good! Hope it helps with your slump 🤞 7y
scripturient I think your current @litsyaroundtheworld book would also make a great reading-slump-buster. If my calculations are correct and you currently have a certain book sent from Germany. 😉😋 7y
Lizpixie @scripturient yes! It shall make a great read I think. It's definitely something I would pick up and read myself👍 7y

I've been stuck in a reading slump the last few months. I thought that setting some reading goals for 2017 would help, but so far nothing has changed. With blizzard conditions and over 30cm of snow in the forecast for this weekend, I expect to be housebound. I'm going to push myself to do the #24in48 readathon - maybe it will be the kick in the butt I need! Who else has struggled with a reading slump?

Reecaspieces I hate those!! Mine usually never last more than a week or so. Pick up a guilty pleasure...mine is romantic suspense. Usually simple stories with action that keep you entertained 8y
