The writing style in these stories makes them difficult to connect to, they describe emotions but feel numb. I liked the last story, "Delicately Feeling," but had to try a few times to get that far. One of the titles from the Dorothy Project. Heck of a cover though! #shortstorymonth

Day 2: title story from Hemingway's Snows of Kilimanjaro. I bogarted this copy ($1.25) from my father in the late 80s when I supplemented my college studies with attempting to become a Hemingway completist, which is one of the only things my father and I have in common. #shortstorymonth #papa

It's fitting that I finished this on day one of #shortstorymonth - I loved these stories. Especially the self titled story and one called "if I vanished". They were weird and sexy and insane but also grounded. One story is just about a guy watching a Kevin Costner movie while being sad and I swear to you it is profound!
