“We have to boil that first! she said. “What do you mean? Why do you have to boil it?“ he asked. “Because,“ Buzz told him. “You just drank water off the bottom of a giant bat toilet. That's why!”

Cove & her dive team arrive at the place where the 'Arcadia' is said to have been rediscovered after sinking 60+ years before. Off-course & giving out strange emergency messages, the 'Arcadia' went down leaving no survivors & the mystery of what happens could now be solved by Cove & the others. They are heading down to depths rarely visited to film the wreck & look for evidence as to what happened, but no-one could ever dream of what awaits them.
In the 2nd half, the team of divers face that the Arcadia ship was sunk on purpose and why it felt alive and moving. There were reasons that the ship was not explored and it was only realized when they faced what the ship had been showing. This book is closely tied to subtle and descriptive horror that does not have too much action. The theme is ignorance since they do not 100% know each other's true self as they also ignore signs of the abnormal.
“Life itself is but the shadow of death, and souls departed but the shadows of the living.”
This was an important book to me at the peak of my Titanic reading obsession…

#BookRecommendation 30 pts So atmospheric if being under water is a trigger for you, I don‘t think this is for you. I felt I was drowning, breathless😳

Opening to a team of divers explorning the lost ship SS Arcadia as their dives shows the paranormal activities on the ship. I would recommend this to those who enjoys the sureal horror work of Junji Ito. Written in third person omniscient the author was able to smoothly intervene between dialogue to add the details on how and why the team was able to get together and work, and through the characters emotion is one of the main way it was shown.
3.5 Stars • “Winds of Time," is a novella and the third installment in the "After Cilmeri" series by Sarah Woodbury. Meg, a time-traveling character, finds herself once again in medieval Wales after a plane crash. This time, she's alone and must navigate the challenges of the past with the knowledge and maturity she gained from her sixteen years spent in the modern world. ⬇️
