pickThanks to @meaningfulmadness for loaning me this beautiful (seriously, the cover is more gorgeous than a photo can show!) page turner of a novel. It‘s FABULOUS YA fantasy, rooted in a great structure that alternates a contemporary ghost story with some historical witch stories. So, so good. (Passing it on to @teachingtheapocalypse next!)

I‘m a third of the way into The Wicked Deep, and last night I decided to use John Rutter‘s “Requiem” for my reading music. The second song in the Requiem seems very appropriate.
On a side note, I am so glad to finally find time again to read a book in print (or ebook). Work and writing have forced me to do most of my reading this year by audiobook.

so-soI am of the unpopular opinion on this one. I didn‘t really care for it. It was an okay read. I think I had too high of hopes and it was so predictable.
