Mehso-so

The Naturals are faced with another case. 3 bodies in 3 casinos in 3 days; all in public, but no footage. The bodies come w/ a code. Who‘s the killer? How does this relate to Cassie‘s mother‘s case? Will they able to figure it all out in time?

This one was ok. It didn‘t tie really well w/ the second one. There was no relevance to her mother‘s case until the end. The puzzles were still great; kept me guessing. The romance was there; a must.

Between lots of characters and lots of time jumps this story just lost me. I didn‘t like that it would jump from the past, to the future to the present. It just was not cohesive enough my brain to follow. The ending was kind of rushed and didn‘t really explain the purpose of the House that seeked these Shining Girls. What was the shine and why was it making people kill over it. I don‘t know, I‘m confused over this one.

Ruthiella I never got why the girls shined either. 2w

A low pick for me. Not one of Freida's best. I called the twist very early on.

Book 21 in the Kim Stone series, not in the database yet, out in the UK on 10th December.

Yes, it‘s as good as all the rest! If you love Kim you‘ll love this one and, if you‘ve never read any before, then you‘ve got a gripping, fabulous long series to start!

This time, someone is leaving cryptic clues for the team to follow, otherwise something terrible will happen…. And can the team actually work alongside Frost?!

TrishB Excited 😁 have on pre-order! 1mo
BarbaraBB I‘ve read a few but wasn‘t really invested. Trish and you assured me it would be worth continuing but I didn‘t. Too many books etc. Now I‘m on the fence again! 1mo
squirrelbrain @BarbaraBB - it took until book 8/9 for me to get REALLY invested…. But you don‘t HAVE to read them if they‘re not for you. 😊 1mo
BarbaraBB Lol I know but every time I read your or Trish‘s reviews I want to 😂 1mo

#UnpopularOpinion This one was just OK for me. I felt like I was rereading so, it was easy to set aside & overlook for another book😅 I did like the tension buildup at the end though.

All that being said, I do very much enjoy this series & have the next instalments already in my library😏📚

TheSpineView Great job! 1mo
CoverToCoverGirl The title was more intense than the actual story.. bummer! 1mo
DieAReader @CoverToCoverGirl 🤷🏻‍♀️Sadly so this time. 1mo

A really fascinating thriller focusing on a kidnapping survivor turned police officer. I hadn‘t read any other book in the series and was able to pick this up without any difficulty. This is a belated #netgalley ready, so thank you NetGalley! #readyourkindle

CoverToCoverGirl I rarely read true crime but I have read this book. It was very chilling and so disturbing. 1mo

It's a bail but I'm not mad at it. I think it is a very well executed cross between Bridget Jones Diary and Dexter. If you are in the mood for graphically violent female rage then I would defo try it. Lots of respect for Skuse as a writer.

But you know I recently unsubbed from Netflix because I felt it was funnelling serial killer content into my head. And this is a bit murderporny, just enough to cross a personal line.

I liked this book. not quite as much as the first one, but still enough to want to continue the series. I love the sarcastic tone and the comedy to the story. She only kills people who deserve it, like rapists and pedophiles. I like the way she frames other people for her crimes, but it seems like it is all going to fall apart on her soon. I did not like that she was pregnant. I liked the way the ending set up for new adventures.
